My Fellow Americans: As the creator and editor of obamafacts.org I wanted to take time out and explain some of the drive behind the site, and why we took time out from our busy schedules to develop it. Mr. Barack Hussein Obama has been flying around our great Country campaigning on change and happy times ahead under his leadership. Surrounded by an army of supporters including college students and celebrities, he has captivated even the most prudent of our citizens with his charisma and fast words. Many of us are yearning for the United States to take a new direction in our domestic and foreign policies, and Mr. Obama promises this in his speeches. It is easy to see why the stars are aligning for him and his campaign. But like any other commitment we make, we need to have “buyer beware” in mind. Barack on the Economy The United States economy is driven by small business. In 2005, a survey conducted by the Office of Advocacy found that 99.7% of all businesses were made up by small business. This number includes 57.4 million Americans that are employed by small business. Mr. Obama has repeatedly campaigned on tax reform for the wealthy and delivering these heavier tax levies to the poor in an even fashion. As the owner of a small business that employs Americans, I would hate to see the impact of heavier tax burdens that could most definitely lead to further lay-offs in my business. It is difficult to go month to month paying $1000’s of dollars for over inflated and unregulated health insurance for these same Americans. This coupled with corporate taxation, payroll taxation, and in some cases ridiculous States tax levies makes it extremely difficult for a start up to have success, regardless of product or service if we must fight through the enormous financial considerations a small business has. Mr. Obama wants to go after the wealthy, in many cases these so called “wealthy” are folks like you and I that make a little bit more money than most because we have paid our dues and worked hard for the things we have amassed. What message does this send our sons and daughters when we have to spend more time away from them generating even more income, taking on a second job, or even filing for bankruptcy if Mr. Obama taxes us even harder to give our income to the greedy and unmotivated? Why should our children go to college, take on student loans like I did, and make something of themselves only to give it away to Mr. Obama’s false Robin Hood antics and the “unmotivated”? Barack on Religion During a debate with Ms. Clinton, the Illinois Senator said to her “why are you playing the race card”? The question I have for Mr. Barack Hussein Obama is why are you playing the race card sir? Mr. Obama belongs to an “afro-centric” Church in Chicago that directs it’s members to live by (10) cannons, (3) of which are either race centric or African centric. His association with this Church and the fact that he has not denounced the Trinity United cannons for blacks leaves one wondering exactly where does Mr. Obama stand on diversity in this Country? Mr. Obama, I grew up in this great Country as a Cuban American. I was the victim of discrimination and in some cases continue to be. I do not, and will not ever use that as a crutch nor allow that to invade my religious beliefs. Your religious beliefs are between you and God. Why would you inter-mingle race into the equation? Is there something else here we should know about? Mr. Obama has also denied being a Muslim in several occasions, not that the Muslim religion is not welcome in the United States, it should be. However, his association with people like his brother “Abongo Roy Obama” who is an extremist Muslim who believes the “black man must liberate himself from the poisons of European cultures” leaves one to wonder again where this man stands on religion. Barack on Pro-Choice My friends, if you are even slightly emotional about abortion, partial birth abortion or even live birth abortion run away from this candidate as far and as fast as you possibly can. During Mr. Obama’s short tenure as the Illinois Senator he has wreaked havoc and opposed all legislation aimed at stopping partial birth abortion. Please see Mr. Gaynor’s terrific article on this HERE. Commentary Just a few nights ago I popped a documentary on Ronald Reagan into the DVD player and took some time out to reflect on where our great nation has gone since his presidency. I firmly believe that we have sustained a leadership void since President Reagan. The Country has seen its shares of boom and bust in the economy, litigated cases that dig deep into the social fabric of our great land, and pushed the technological envelope to places we could only dream of in the 1980’s. Similarly, we have also experienced a great moral decline that has lead to unprecedented numbers of divorce, teenage pregnancy, abortion, homelessness, and blatant disregard for the “God” that make up “In God We Trust”. We have reached a point where we are afraid to express our views in fear that we will get labeled as a special interest, a bigot, or an extremist. We have even removed the “10 Commandments” from public places because we are afraid to “infect” someone with the same core values that lead to the creation of The United States of America. My friends, I think that there is one thing that Mr. Obama is right about, we need change, and we need it desperately. Not the kind that Mr. Obama is selling, but the kind that will put this great Country back on track to where it once was. We need to eradicate the true extremist of America, organizations that fight for the removal of the (10) commandments, prayer in schools, and other doctrines that lead to the well being of this nation. Organizations like the ACLU, that only further the cause of degradation to the social and moral fabric of America. As we move through this election season, the choices for President are bleak. My only hope is that we as Americans will perform our share of due diligence on each of the candidates and hopefully make a decision that is informed and educated, not driven by skin color nor fancy words. Nobody is happy with the current situation, conservatives nor liberals. However, are we this desperate that we will vote for the first person that preaches change without any kind of proven track record? A person that has unexplained views on the things that bring prosperity and moral greatness to our Country? Those of you that know me accuse me of being a “capitalist”, with a sense of community. Not sure what that means other than a moderate republican. I attend Church occasionally, go to work everyday, and pretty much try to live my life the best I can as a contributor. I am not a participant in any special interests, I don’t really even care much for politics. However, tough times call for tough measures. We cannot make a wrong choice this election just because we are desperate for change. To reverse the damage this could do to our Country could take decades. Please do the right thing. I was not a McCain fan in the beginning, and I am still not crazy about his foreign policy, but how could I possibly vote for a man that has no record, a shady background, and few real solutions over a decorated war veteran? Have we really come to this level of desperation and lunacy? I am looking forward to the election in November when I am sure the American people will do the right thing. Sincerely, The Editor |
